  1. My brolly is black, but I'm thinking of tradomg it in for a more colorful one.

  2. Brolly must mean umbrella. I have several...mostly black.

Now, of course this is spring. Spring means rain. And rain means flowers. Cover thy head and smile. The sun shall shine again!

  7. This is a particularly beautiful photo. Of course, it reminds me of a colorful version of The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. For the record, one of mine is black and the other is made of multi-colored wedges.

  9. I learned a new word today -- did not know what a brolly was until the picture unfolded. I have a green one with orange and yellow flowers on it. Brolly sounds much better than umbrella which is very boring.

    bring May flowers.

    Enjoy!! MB

  14. If MB is right we'll have a lot of flowers in May! Black is the answer, but long time ago I owned a bright blue 'cicalone', the once typical Tuscan wooden umbrella, usually in green.

  18. Love this composition, Ciel. The walkers with their umbrellas is great - it makes me want to hurry and catch up with the group. Well seen!

  19. Black, I'm afraid. But I rarely use it because it never rains in Ontario. OK. I lied. :)

  21. I don't usually use an umbrella. It gets so windy here that it's useless.

  23. Interesting, it looks more like winter there! My brolly is blue and is about 30 years old (I only use it about once a year.)

  26. Black here as well. As far as I'm concerned, a lack of snow and ice is spring enough for now...

  27. Have several, but my favorite is black on the top and the inside has bright blue skies with fluffy white clouds.

  28. It's pouring here today. In Oxford I bought a black and white plaid unmbrella, but around here most people don't use them. We wear waterproof jackets with hoods, or we just get wet. What's wrong with us? Although many days if it's raining, the wind is blowing too much to use an umbrella. I think the wind broke my last one, and that's why I didn't have one. Usually I get black ones, but I like looking at other colors.

  30. Living in Seattle I, of necessity, have several ... one particularly large green-yellow which I sometimes clamp to a second tripod when photographing in particularly unpleasant weather. For general use there is a green, purple, red, blue and the ubiquitous black. Mostly I just wear a beret -:)

    Glad you asked, right?

  31. I love colorful umbrellas! Funnily for living in one of the rainiest areas of the world, I don't even have an umbrella. 'Hamsters for some reason have a grudge against them and would rather get wet than be seen carrying an umbrella! So whenever you see someone with an umbrella, it's either a child or a tourist.

  33. Mon parapluie ?
