I use a shorter shopping bag when I go to the farmers market here -- don't want my raspberries crushed or the peaches bruised! BUT I use that type of cart for other things/other times.
J'ai un caddy malheureusement beaucoup plus conventionnel! (attention, pas à "carreaux-mémé" quand même!..Ü) La fourrure est un peu too much, mais le drapeau anglais, pourquoi pas?...Ü
I have such a thing when I go to the big market in Brussels ! Especially because I take the train. Schönes Wochenende, wir haben unseren Sohn zu Besuch.
Regarding my blog: No the daffs aren't up yet although the nurseries have the small tiny ones in stock. My daffs are about half way up and so in a couple of weeks will be blooming. MB
They would be useful at our Sunday Market. I take a backpack, and yes, a few veggies make it heavy sometimes. They don't sell meat at our Sunday Market, it's mainly crafts, art and veggies. The people in the booths have to have made the products themselves.
P.S. I did not listen to the sea. It was in real life only a few feet away. I used to hear the sea in my mother's shell collection at home when I was growing up, and we were an hour or so from the ocean. It was magical!
Monsieur Lincoln, most French people have one at home. We don't use these in "drive to" supermarkets, only at "real" markets or convenience stores that you walk to.

ReplyDeleteBon dimanche!
Are you saying that everyone buys so much stuff they need to have a set of wheels to carry it home?
ReplyDeleteAnd, what, my friend, did you buy? And which of these is yours?
oh yes, a must!
ReplyDeleteyou know I went to outdoor markets in Europe before I ever saw them here. I sense we learned the wonderful ways of markets from you!
A "must" in France are items with an American stop sign or a Union Jack flag?
ReplyDeleteRolling carts are very useful when one walks to and from the market. Interesting signs on the one in front ... no trespassing, danger and stop?

ReplyDeleteLove the signs on them. Even a cow on the stop sign. funny. MB
ReplyDeleteThey are great and incredibly useful....a long as you can stand the jokes about old ladies and shopping trolleys.
ReplyDeleteThese are much more funny looking than ours...

These are so funny! LOL
ReplyDeleteI regularly get my foot run over with these "agalot" in the crowded streets of the Jerusalem market. I would never be able to handle one.
I'd get some attention and looks if I pulled one of those around here!
ReplyDeleteA couple of those filled up with goodies from the market would make anyone very happy! :)
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!

YES! «Louis» approves of la Vache!

ReplyDeleteTout le monde en a ici, le notre est orange. Mais ca reste beaucoup plus classique que ca!
ReplyDelete@ Jacob: well... when you've been to the market you're likely to have bought fruit, veg, meat, poultry, eggs, butter and cheese, aren't you? ;-)
ReplyDeleteCertainly an eclectic mix of styles--fur to fun. Bet they do come in handy when you have more than one or two items to purchase.

ReplyDeleteWell, they have more style than the ones I have seen here....... A good idea to use.
ReplyDeleteDo you rent these to take your shopping home in or just to use there at the store.
