When arriving in Versailles from motorway A13, a lovely scene greets you in the summer. For a reminder you can click here. At this time of year however, this tree of light will be your greeting! At the other end of Versailles, some of you will remember daffodils galore in April. This second photo is the winter scene at the same place!

The trees of light are lovely, but those links back to flowers (especially the first one) were so welcome today! I love the building in the first link.
ReplyDeleteI, too, find the lights lovely, but like Tapirgal I find those daffodils such a soothing sight after spending all day in the bitter cold and snow.
ReplyDeleteBelles illuminations de Noel pour l'arrivee a Versailles.
ReplyDeleteBon dimanche!
The top photo looks like a fountain of water, a liquid cascade of light.
ReplyDeleteTres jolie! Such a nice way to welcome people to Versailles!
ReplyDeleteI love decorations and these are especially pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to see such lights and feeling welcome/ Regarding sky writers: A small plane uses exhaust to spell out a message in the sky as a paid advertisement. Occasionally one is used over a sports stadium for a fellow to propose marriage to his girlfriend. I used to see them used a lot when I was younger but it is apparently a dying form of marketing.
ReplyDeletewow, what a difference a season makes. Your photos overflow with the feeling of the holiday. Wishing you a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteI really love the night photos of the trees covered in lights!
ReplyDeleteLet me envy this, something very nice as welcome in your city.

Awesome greeting to Versailles! Cool to see the same place in different seasons. :)
ReplyDeleteI love holiday lights and these are just lovely. But like others, the links back to the spring images have added a ray of sunshine to a very gray, rainy Sunday morning here.
ReplyDeleteVery welcome!
