I am off to Paris in February..... And that is not a joke. Anyway, I love umbrellas, and in Norwegian it is called "Paraply" that is probably a word we have stolen from your language....
I do need an umbrella. A nice strong one that wont break in the wind. Oh how I wish that I could go to the Notre-Dame market on a Saturday. Two weeks from now I'll be in Prague and I think I might need an umbrella.
Umbrellas remind me of one of my trips to France. I purchased a lovely black umbrella with red ruffles on the edges in Paris. I still use it--35 years later!!

I've always wanted a clear plastic umbrella so I'll take that one, please!

Goodnight from the north!:-)
Is there anything they don't sell at this market? Seems to me I recall seeing mattresses once upon a time...
ReplyDeleteBut it does appear they offer a plethora (love that word!) of different kinds and colors of umbrellas (from umbra, I think, the shady part)...
Sleep well!

Un bel etalage avec ces parapluies qui font office d'abat jour. Belle photo coloree.
ReplyDeleteRain, rain, go away - come back another day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific shot and a creative way to display parapluies! This is one of my favs!!!

Amazing shot, nice market. Umbrellas are useful, but I like the small ones, only for emergencies. With dubious weather always carry one with me.
ReplyDeleteI love this shot. Good choice. MB
ReplyDeleteVERY ROMANTIC PHOTO :))
ReplyDeleteHAVE A NICE WEEKEND
J'ai aimé le parapluie totalement transparent! Cette parapluie avec marbles (?je ne sui pas si c'est le mot juste) est agréable aussi!

J'en ai besoin d'un, s.v.p. :)

ReplyDeleteI think those upside down umbrellas are waiting to collect pennies from heaven. This is a happy shot for a rainy day, CQ.
ReplyDeleteLooks like business should be good this day.
ReplyDeleteI love the way the upside down umbrellas have become lampshades. They have a dual purpose!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday the 13th!!
Boy ...do you need one this weekend in Wales!! If the wind allows you to put it up.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely display, so colourful.
ReplyDeleteje préfère un petit coin de paradis
ReplyDelete@ Jacob: there isn't much they don't sell! ;-) You are right about the mattresses!
ReplyDeleteFun foto.
ReplyDeleteIt would be fun to have the transparent umbrella and watch the rain falling on you.
They work better when they are not upside down!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is delightful, Ciel!
