Spotted last weekend. I'm sure there are lots of spiders, yet I had never noticed one this big right in the middle of the city centre.
------------------
Ugly beast, great images. The first one is nice for the buildings in background, but the second is really great for the colors and the glimpses of the cobweb.
ReplyDeleteThat is one BIG spider. Amazing shot : )
ReplyDeleteYou are frightened of our little gators and a few sharks but spiders you can handle, heh?
ReplyDeleteYou did well here; it is hard to catch a spider in mid-web, so to speak!
I think she is beautiful! Anything that eats biting insects is a friend of mine... Lovely photo, great control of depth of field.
ReplyDeleteYikes - did you scream?!
ReplyDeleteThey are quite ugly. I wouldn't get that close.
ReplyDeleteWhat a find, and a wonderful composition. Interesting to see a city, not more plants, in the soft background.
ReplyDeleteAwesome shots!!! I love them.

These garden spiders are great, handy to have them in the garden and wonderful webs they spin often across huge gaps.

Great shots...he looks like I can reach out and touch him, not that I'd want to,lol
ReplyDeleteGreat catch! I haven't seen a spider like that with such a big body before!
ReplyDeleteI also left a commnet below on one I missed yesterday.
