Yesterday evening, at 8:30 pm, in front of the palace gates. No, we don't dress like that anymore! A dance ball in period costumes was being organised and gave me the opportunity to go photograph some feet, for the Daily City Photo Blog Theme Day. More information about the ball event can be found in English here. Happy Theme Day!

ReplyDeleteOh, I wish I'd thought of this! We have a 'sweeping the street' ceremony where women dress in ancient costume to do their spring cleaning of the city streets. Well, one bit of street in front of the Mayor's office!

They sure are some big bows.
ReplyDeleteFancy feet, for sure!

ReplyDeleteEtais-tu au bal ?
ReplyDeleteYou couldn't have done better for the theme day (which I somehow missed totally!)...did they plan the ball just for you? ;-)
ReplyDeleteTerrific job.
I missed theme day and am playing catch-up 'cause we were in South Florida for our grandson's high school graduation...and then the hotel Internet went kaput!
Ugh!
Oh, and I don't think there are any piggy magnets...but I could be wrong. It happened once before! ;))
des pieds made in Versailles évidement !!
ReplyDeleteSo very cool!
ReplyDeleteThey look like toe pinchers.
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question about hiking vs swimming...I just could not wear my boots one more second. I think the flip flops add a nice touch of color : )
These are just perfect, Ciel! So French, so historical, and so fun! I hope you'll post the full costumes one of these days.
