Chapelle royale

Two shots of the royal chapel at the palace: the first one with Gabriel pavilion on the left. The second one, taken last year during a concert, is a detail of the chapel's floor.

Avec le pavillon Gabriel à gauche. La seconde photo, prise l'année dernière à l'occasion d'un concert, est un détail du sol.

  4. The royal chapel is a sore point with me 'cause we didn't have time to check it out when we were there...although I think I did get off a couple of shots. Have no clue where those might be, though.

If we get back to Paris, I'd love to see it up close. Hint, hint!

  5. Must be a fantastic place to hear a concert! I'd feel like King Louis listening to some renaissance music inside...

  7. Love it! I love all your posts and must admit I have missed a bunch.

I like the fair photos and did you try the rolly balls? MB

  8. The pictures make me think of all the noise in this country about the 99% and the 1%. In Louis' day, I bet it was closer to the 99.9% and the 0.1%.

  11. Au mieux ton voisin de derrière pensait que tu te recueillais, au pire que tu dormais ; toi tu attendais juste les cymbales pour "clic clic" en toute discrétion....
